dFab Reprint Policy

dFab will automatically initiate 1 reprint, free of charge if the cause of failure is determined to be a dFab staff or equipment-related error, that has resulted in a

  • Partial or incomplete print(s)

  • Print(s) with surface holes or punctures

  • Significantly deformed or warped print(s) (unrelated to part design)

  • Exceptionally poor surface finish

  • Prints damaged during removal or post-processing.

If a second print attempt fails, you will be made aware of the risk of running subsequent prints and be willing to accept any costs for further prints.

If a model is deemed unsuitable to print, you will be asked to re-model and provide dFab with a revised model.

There will be no reprints for:

  • Parts requiring minor post-processing to improve the surface finish. (eg, sanding to smoothen a surface following the removal of support structures or visible layer lines)

  • Damage to parts during print removal

  • Slight dimensional variations from the CAD model. For high dimensional accuracy, a draft print is highly recommended to allow for any shrinkage, warpage or expansion. Partial test prints are also recommended when testing assembly tolerances & clearances.

  • Models that do not follow print design guides.
