1. Connect Scanner
Connect Artec Power cable to battery pack
Connect Battery pack to scanner
Connect scanner to computer via usb
Open
ArtecStudio 17 Professional
Save Project.
File
>Save Project
/Ctrl
+S
Turn on battery pack
Select the Scan tab
All scan files should be saved on the local disc. Do not save files to an external hard drive or network drive.
2. Scan
Open the Scan side panel and adjust scan settings
Aim the scanner at the object to be scanned
Press the
▶ Record
button to initiate preview mode.Make sure the object is visible in Artec Studio, then press
▶ Record
again to begin recording the scan. If the object is not visible you may need to adjustthe distance between the scanner & object
lighting, ensure there is ample, indirect light on the object being scanned. Try to limit shadows cast on the object
the location of the object
object's surface finish, apply scanning spray if necessary
Whilst completing the scan, watch the preview in Artec studio This will significantly reduce the likelihood of tracking issues & improve scan coverage.
Once complete, press the ▣
Stop
button to end the scan recording. Scans will then be displayed in the Artec Studio list of scans.
A new scan can be completed by repeating the same procedure. As data is autosaving, we recommend waiting a few minutes between each scan.
Tracking Modes
Geometry + Texture, or hybrid (image & 3D data)
Geometry Only (no image/colour data. 3D data only)
Real-time Fusion
Generates a surface which can be exported immedatley after scanning
