Full Class Practical Demonstration

If you have not already submitted a dFab Academic Teaching Request for this class, please do so now.

Practical Demonstrations (PDs) are the final stage of training programs for all self service equipment at dFab. Typically are booked independently by students once they have completed the online component of a training program.

Training available to full class groups includes the following self service equipment;

  • Laser Cutters

  • FDM 3D Printers

  • 3D Scanners

If you would like your students to complete a practical demonstration as a class group, you can book a session using the calendar below.

Before doing so, please note:

  • Full Class Practical demonstrations should be arranged by the academic directly teaching into the unit i.e. the academic who will attend the demonstration with the class.

  • Each practical demonstration can accommodate 1 class at a time If you have multiple classes you will need to book multiple sessions

  • Each practical demonstration is for a single process

If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled times and would like an alternative, please book a session & propose a new time when you receive your confirmation email.

Before attending the session please ensure all students have completed everything on the relevant practical demonstration checklist

Training records will be checked at 9:15 on the day of the practical demonstration. Students with outstanding training will be asked to schedule an alternative training session.
